Budapest Judo Grand Slam Transfer:Limited September Capacity
A three-day competition calls for more than one pickup. Connect Budapest Airport, the hotel and Papp László Arena through one private transport plan for teams, officials, sponsors and supporters.
Official weekend program
Three days, 14 senior weight categories
A Budapest Judo Grand Slam transfer is no longer just an airport pickup when a team, official, sponsor or supporter group has three competition days to coordinate. VanBudapest.com is already preparing sports-related movements for the weekend—and we are proud to support Budapest’s international sports tourism.
| Day | Men | Women | Current final block |
|---|---|---|---|
| Friday, September 11 | -60 kg, -66 kg | -48 kg, -52 kg, -57 kg | 5:00 p.m. |
| Saturday, September 12 | -73 kg, -81 kg | -63 kg, -70 kg | 5:00 p.m. |
| Sunday, September 13 | -90 kg, -100 kg, +100 kg | -78 kg, +78 kg | 5:00 p.m. |
Preliminary-session start times remain to be confirmed after the final athlete numbers are known. That is why teams and working guests often need a reserved service window instead of one pickup based on an estimated finish.
The venue is Papp László Budapest Sportaréna, 1143 Budapest, Stefánia út 2. Public options include the M2 metro at Puskás Ferenc Stadion and tram 1. For private travel, confirm the hotel, passenger roles and equipment first, then agree realistic pickup and meeting points around the event restrictions in force.
A double-event weekend
Why September 11–13 will be unusually busy
Judo is only half of Budapest’s international sports story that weekend.
The World Athletics Ultimate Championship runs on the same dates at the National Athletics Centre, with evening sessions currently scheduled across Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The exact overlap concentrates airport arrivals, premium hotel demand, group vehicles and hourly chauffeur bookings into one three-day window.
Guests attending both events can use our full athletics-and-judo weekend guide. Athletics-only visitors should use the separate National Athletics Centre transfer guide.
One operating plan
Build the airport–hotel–arena bridge
Separate services can still run through one confirmed itinerary, one passenger manifest and one operating contact.
Monitored pickup at Budapest Airport and direct hotel transfer.
Hotel, accreditation, training and meeting connections when required.
Hourly chauffeur standby or fixed group transfers around the live program.
Separate sedan or VIP-van assignments inside the same operating structure.
Hotel-to-airport travel planned around flights, luggage and equipment.
This is not an official event shuttle and does not include competition tickets, credentials, vehicle passes or restricted venue access. It is a private, prearranged chauffeur and group-transport service built around the confirmed itinerary.
Fleet fit
Match the vehicle to the busiest movement
Passenger count is only the first filter. Luggage, sports equipment, privacy and simultaneous movements determine the final vehicle allocation.
A private shared cabin for an executive or sponsor group of up to eight passengers.
A practical starting point for approximately 14–20 passengers.
Coordinated group movement for approximately 30–49 passengers.
See the current VanBudapest.com fleet for the full overview. Capacities are planning starting points; the final choice follows the busiest movement.
Current booking window
Limited September 11–13 capacity remains
VanBudapest.com is already preparing for this sports weekend. Some vehicles and service windows are still available, but multi-day standby, simultaneous team movements and larger group categories narrow first.
Send the confirmed framework now. The operational itinerary can be refined when the remaining official timings are published.
