Hungary at Puskás Aréna: Autumn Nations League Nights

Two Friday evenings. A red, white and green crowd. And a return journey worth arranging before the first whistle.

25 SEPHungary–Ukraine · 20:45

02 OCTHungary–Georgia · 20:45

Both at Puskás Aréna. Kickoff times are local to Budapest.

An evening at the Puskás starts well before kickoff: a late lunch, scarves appearing around the city, friends meeting at the hotel. Hungary’s first two home games in the 2026/27 UEFA Nations League fall just a week apart. For visitors planning a football weekend, they give the autumn calendar two clear dates to build around.

At VanBudapest.com, we can arrange your Puskás Aréna matchday transfer from the hotel and the journey back afterward. Tell us who is traveling, which match you are attending and where you are staying; we will build the transport around your evening.

What is at stake in Group B2?

Hungary faces Ukraine, Georgia and Northern Ireland, playing each opponent home and away. Under UEFA’s competition format, the group winner moves up to League A. Second place enters an A/B promotion and relegation playoff; third enters a B/C playoff; fourth drops to League C. Every position has a consequence, which gives these home nights a purpose beyond the occasion.

02 / BEFORE YOU TRAVEL

Tickets first, then the travel plan

MLSZ’s September announcement sets out the ticket-sale stages for the Ukraine and Georgia matches, with general sales for registered supporters beginning September 11, subject to remaining availability. Use the official MLSZ ticket guidance for current instructions and availability.

If you are traveling with visiting supporters, follow your national federation’s ticket and sector instructions. Once your tickets are arranged, send us the entrance or sector information available to you. It helps us plan a sensible approach. Our booking covers transportation; match tickets and hospitality are arranged separately.

Getting to Puskás Aréna on matchday

The arena’s official visitor information lists Metro M2 and tram 1 among the public-transport connections and recommends public transport for events. The right entrance matters as much as the destination address.

For a private transfer, we agree on a permitted drop-off point and allow for the walk to your gate. Event traffic controls can change the final approach; a chauffeur booking does not grant vehicle access through a restricted perimeter. Check the latest MLSZ and venue instructions, plus BKK Info, before traveling. Match-specific gate-opening times and road restrictions should come from those notices.

Arrange the return before entering the stadium

Agree on the meeting point, the lead passenger’s mobile number and how you will contact the driver. Allow time to leave your seats and walk out with the crowd. Guests staying for hospitality should include that in the plan when requesting their quote.

03 / YOUR EVENING, CONNECTED

Hotel to stadium. Stadium to hotel.

A couple attending with hospitality tickets and a visiting supporters’ party have different transport needs. We start with the people and the itinerary.

For a private party

An S-Class sedan suits a smaller party seeking a private journey. A V-Class brings a small group together in one vehicle. We confirm the suitable option against passenger numbers and any luggage.

For a group or hosted guests

Larger parties can ask about Sprinter or coach options from our fleet. Multiple hotels, airport arrivals and separate departure times belong in the brief, so the quote reflects the actual evening.

A hotel–stadium return booking covers a defined journey. If dinner, several pickups or time on standby form part of your plans, ask us to quote the wider itinerary. Our hourly chauffeur guide explains the alternative.

BOOK YOUR MATCHDAY TRANSFER

Send the match date, hotel, passenger count, ticket entrance details and return plans. We will prepare the transport offer for your confirmation.

04 / AROUND THE ARENA

Quick matchday answers

Are both early-autumn home matches on Friday?

Yes. Hungary–Ukraine is September 25 and Hungary–Georgia is October 2, 2026. Both kick off at 20:45 Budapest time at Puskás Aréna.

Is Northern Ireland also playing in Budapest?

Yes. Hungary’s home match against Northern Ireland is scheduled for November 17 at 20:45 at Puskás Aréna.

Can you collect us directly outside our gate?

The final meeting point depends on the event’s traffic arrangements and permitted vehicle access. We agree on the practical pickup point and walking allowance as part of the transfer plan.
