The race center is in the northern block of the ELTE Lágymányos Campus, with its entrance facing Pázmány Péter promenade. Registration is closed. In its current traffic notice, the organizer says it expects close to 25,000 runners across the event.

Use 12:15 p.m. for the 10K—and recheck before leaving
The organizer’s dedicated English timetable and Hungarian timetable both list the Szimpatika 10K start at 12:15 p.m. One organizer page still displays noon. This guide uses 12:15 p.m. because the two dedicated timetable pages agree.
Do not plan from a screenshot
Open the official timetable again on race day and follow any organizer announcement or staff instruction. A fifteen-minute error can affect bib pickup, bag drop, warm-up, and corral entry.
Bib pickup is a hard deadline
The pickup tables are not divided by bib range; runners may approach any available table but should know their bib number before joining the queue.

Do not treat the desk closing time as an arrival target
A runner still needs the bib, any bag-drop transaction, the correct pedestrian route, and the assigned corral. Half-marathon corrals open at 7:15 a.m. and wave starts begin from 8:00 a.m.
If an international runner lands on Saturday, compare the full flight and baggage plan with the 7:00 p.m. pickup close. A transfer cannot extend organizer hours, replace a missed requirement, or guarantee that a delayed flight will still connect with bib collection.
Race-center access starts with a pedestrian plan
The competition center occupies the northern block of ELTE Lágymányos Campus. The organizer describes the entrance as the side facing Pázmány Péter promenade and the exit as the southern side. Follow event signs and staff for the final pedestrian route.
For Sunday travel, BKK recommends Metro lines M2 and M4, trams 1, 4, and 6, and suburban railway H5. BKK also says trams 1, 4, and 6 will run more frequently in the early morning. Check the current BKK event notice and BudapestGO immediately before departure.
Nearby parking is not a dependable fallback: spaces are limited and fill early. A garage booking, race entry, or private vehicle does not authorize access through a police or event closure.
Road closures change the whole movement plan
BKK’s September 4 event notice lists staged restrictions across the start area, both lower embankments, Műegyetem rakpart, and central bridges. Reopening is progressive after runners pass, so normal traffic does not resume everywhere at the same time.

For private transport, ask which lawful meeting point operations can confirm outside the active restriction and how much protected walking time the runner needs. The answer may differ before the half marathon, after the half marathon, and after the 10K.
Pack for the actual bag-drop limit
Half-marathon bag drop is open from 6:00 a.m. to noon, but the one permitted package—maximum 60 × 40 × 30 centimeters—must be handed in by 7:45 a.m. with the bib tag. It is released against the bib after the race.
The 10K bag drop is listed from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with a noon drop deadline and the same maximum size. The organizer provides no valuables-deposit service and advises against leaving valuables or fragile items.
A team vehicle can carry hotel luggage only when that has been agreed in the booking. Send exact sports-bag, suitcase, stroller, mobility-aid, and unusual-item dimensions before selecting a vehicle.

The sticker on the race bib determines corral entry. A runner without one may request a sticker at the race center but otherwise may enter only the final corral. Event staff and the current race page control the procedure.
The half-marathon cutoff is three hours net, aligned with the last wave. A closing vehicle follows the field at the published pace; runners it overtakes must follow the organizer’s procedure and cannot enter the finish area as normal finishers.
Relay teams need a pedestrian and public-transit plan
The pair relay exchanges at 12.7 km on Margaret Island beside the Centenary Memorial. The trio exchanges at 8.3 km on Árpád fejedelem út near Tímár utca and at 15.3 km on the Pest lower embankment beneath Margaret Bridge.
Every participant is responsible for reaching the exchange point. Changing facilities are provided there, but no bag drop. Current road closures make a vehicle-following strategy unreliable and potentially impossible.
Runner role
Record the leg, bib and chip responsibility, exchange instruction, ready time, and post-leg route.
Supporter role
Choose only a few viewing points that are reachable using live public-transit or walking information.
Coordinator role
Own the current manifest and approve changes so drivers do not have to reconcile competing messages.
The timing chip is attached to the relay bib that changes hands. Follow the organizer’s waist-belt and exchange-zone instructions exactly. Transportation cannot replace relay registration or race-control directions.
Airport and hotel transfers must respect the bib plan
A useful international-runner brief includes the airport, flight number, origin, scheduled arrival, checked bags, sports equipment, hotel, bib-pickup status, race distance, and one mobile contact.
Saturday arrivals should be assessed against the 7:00 p.m. bib-pickup close. Sunday-morning half-marathon arrivals carry obvious risk: pickup runs only from 6:00 to 8:00 a.m., corrals open at 7:15 a.m., and the start area is already restricted.
Confirm a drop point outside the closure and let the runner walk the final segment. The operating team must approve the vehicle, route, meeting point, waiting arrangement, and price. No airport travel time, race-center curb, reserved lane, or parking access is promised.
Follow the organizer’s dated heat and medical guidance
On September 3, the organizer published a warm-weather advisory based on a forecast of approximately 17–18°C at the half-marathon start, rising toward 26–28°C by early afternoon. The forecast is especially relevant to the 10K and can change. Read the dated organizer heat notice and check the current forecast again.

Corporate teams should separate runners and supporters
A corporate group rarely has one schedule. Half-marathon runners leave early; 10K runners start later; relay members move to exchanges; supporters choose viewing points; and some guests return to a hotel or airport soon after finishing.
Create a master manifest with each person’s role, distance, bib status, bag, hotel, pickup window, reunion point, and departure plan. Put one coordinator in charge of changes. Keep passport, flight, health, and mobile information inside the private booking workflow.
Use the minimum number of confirmed vehicle movements. A group drop outside the closure, a controlled post-race reunion, and separate airport departures may be more reliable than trying to shadow the race.
Supporters and post-race pickup need one clear reunion point
Trying to follow the course by road risks missed runners and blocked approaches. Use the official map, live public transit, walking, and a small number of predetermined viewing or reunion points. A runner’s expected pace is not a vehicle timetable.
After the finish, allow time for the medal and finisher package, recovery, bag collection, changing, phone reconnection, and the walk out of the controlled area. Choose a reunion point that does not depend on a temporary fence or congested finish gate.
Roads reopen progressively, so the lawful route and travel time can change during the day. Operations must confirm the live pickup instruction. A runner should never disregard organizer or medical directions to reach a car.
