Schossberger Castle (BOTANIQ Turai Kastély) – near Budapest, Hungary – Botaniq Turai Castle has gained another international tourist recognition.
Following the Booking.com Traveler Review Awards 2021 in January this year, Botaniq Turai Castle received another international tourism award, winning the title of “Best European Castle Hotel 2021” at the International Travel Awards.
Organized by the KSA Tourism Marketing organization, hotels and catering establishments in more than a hundred countries have started. The castle entered the first round on the basis of the vote of a committee of nearly fifty members composed of foreign recognized experts in the field of tourism. During the International Travel Awards competition, more than three thousand entries were received from many parts of the world, of which a total of five hundred entrants made it to the finals, where the professional jury finally awarded two hundred entrants with prizes in each category.
“We are very pleased with the recognition, as in addition to the decision of an international panel of renowned professionals, our guests were able to express their views through the vote, which provides direct feedback to us,” said Zoltán Somlyai, BDPST Group. head of the hotel division.
As part of the evaluation phase of the International Travel Awards competition, a multi-national, professional jury will examine the candidates for the award, based on a set of criteria.
In the case of hotels, the evaluation process is based, inter alia, on criteria such as the friendliness of the staff or the quality, equipment and cleanliness of the rooms.
The evaluation also takes into account the quality of the restaurant and the spa and wellness facilities – the atmosphere of the restaurant and the quality of the food and equipment. In addition to the various offers and services, the quality of the service was examined during the evaluation of the spa and wellness department.
The Neo-Renaissance-style mansion, built in 1883 by order of Baron Sigismund Schossberger, opened its doors to the interested public in the summer of 2020 after a complete reconstruction. Situated in a fairytale setting, reminiscent of the Loire-style castle milieu, Botaniq Turai Castle is located fifty kilometers from the capital and serves as a high-quality hotel and event venue to fill the region’s tourist offer.
